"Bharat maata ki jai" - Modern Jingoism In India?

I'm all in praise for certain Mr. Dibakar Banarjee. That's because of his record in movie making is 3/3.
Khosla ka ghosla, Oye lucky Lucky Oye and Love sex and Dhokha - all of them milestone movies.
That's why there's reason when I hear the songs and watch the promos of his forthcoming venture - "Shanghai", I'm all excited.
This is the  title song which has seen public release in trailers and teasers - "Bharat Maata ki jai".

A person with an IQ of an amoeba can sense the dark sarcasm and satire involved in the lyrics.
The song portrays the stark inequality in modern India. Our leaders' plans to make Shanghai for citizens while millions of people are dying of hunger.

Now I have a reason to be mad when I see this news in Indian Express, seeking ban on the song -

Here's another one by Congress party -

WTF is wrong people? If showing the reality can be termed as blasphemy, then what reality you want? Is not your reality a fantasy then?

Relate this incident with the false nationalism we see all around us today. We have this false jingoistic tendency which we call patriotism.
Remember the pride and sense of achievement all of us and Media felt when we tested nuclear weapons in 1998?
Or the headlines it created when Agni 5 was tested for 6000km + range?
Perhaps you'd remember the hoopla created when Arundhati Roy and a few others claimed freedom for Kashmir?
There was an public outrage when such sentiments were echoed for North Eastern region. (we don't even call each of the states separately. It is just a combined homogeneous mixture for us- The North East.)

On one hand we have this immense pride associated with an entity called "India". We'll go any length beating our chests about it. We love to see the "All is well" India and its achievements. On the other hand, when someone tries to show us a mirror and claims all is not well, People of India are not doing well - We get charged up and start throwing stones at the mirror.

Because we hate the mirror that shows us India as is. We hate to see the stark difference between the India we want and the India we have.
We want our "Bharat Maata" to be the most respected goddess residing in the golden palace. But we can't come to terms with the "Bharat maata" that is wearing a saari and has problem getting her roti-kapda-makaan.

So India doesn't mean her people.
Pseudo Indian Jingoistic patriotism - Jay ho !!!
Dibakar, next time please make a movie showing the famous "Sone ki chidiya" only and get lost with your "dengue malaria".
